What a day!
My two and a half year old daughter found a permanent ink marker today and decided on a little bit of body art for herself. I told the lady wife (who was at work) and she seemed to think it was a bit funny. I dont think that will still be the case when she actually sees the baba. FYI babywipes dont take off permanent marker ink. Swarfega does but i dont think i can use that on her...ahem. I didn't get my patio washed and the wine i bought for this evening is corked. But still the sun played a blinder today so maybe there will be a BBQ on the cards tomorrow. Enjoy the weekend

A new week
This is my last night working. I've been on for the last seven straight so I get a few days off now (which is nice!). I have a few jobs to do and a lot of child minding aswell according to the boss. I have an appointment to speak to a group of golfers prior to a team competition which is coming up shortly so looking forward to that one. What are you going to do this week? I know that not everyone works with schedules and diarys and so forth but sometimes I think that if you are likely to have time available its nice to have something planned...not exactly goals but plans.(That might be the Virgo in me trying to get a look in). If you want to have time doing not much then do that but otherwise try having a plan and it just might structure the day a bit better for you. When you are at a loose end its easy to get demoralised and begin to think that thats all there is and it doesn't have to be like that. Time is precious...don't let it slip by.

A sunday morning aside
I would like to thank everyone who turned up for the charity football match yesterday, it was by all accounts a huge success. It was a bit annoying to hear some local people critiscising how much it cost to bring the star attractions. Sure but they are just that. People came to see them playing and thats how the money was raised. Anyway there is something about Sunday mornings that I always liked. There is the religious wellbeing aspect I suppose but there is something about family and relaxing that it brings that no other day has to offer. I will however be in bed for a goodly part of today because I am working at the moment, but wherever you are have a nice Sunday.

Legends XI Charity Match Bagenalstown Carlow Today April 16
Well now today Liverpool and Ireland legend John Aldridge leads a Legends team in a charity match in aid of Irish Autism Action at McGrath Park, Bagenalstown. Kick off is 1pm and a snip at only 10 Euro. It will be a massive event for a really super charity whose main patron is Keith Duffy (Boyzone, Coronation St, all round good guy). The legends will line out against our own local legends who have graced the local game at all levels over the years and some who have even played for Ireland at Junior level. Tommy Bambrick, Packie Geoghegan and Dan Doyle (all legends in their own right). Along with Aldo, Frank Stapleton, Jason McAteer, Clayton Blackmore and Tommy Boyd and others will be on show. Try to get along and support the teams for a very worthy cause and have a really good family day into the bargain. Stay well

What to say?
Well thanks for dropping by, its pretty late right now so I don't expect to say anything earth shattering at the moment. I did hear a very good quote yesterday which stuck in my mind so maybe I'll just share that one with you. People are born to live not born to practice to live. I don't have a clue who I should reference the quote to but thanks anyway. I hope in the next while that some of what I publish here will help you as the reader to have a better outlook on life in what are difficult times for most of us. Please remember that what we are, we are because of choices that we made and we can become something else by simply deciding to do so. Stay well.
